450nm (±5nm tolerance) high-purity blue light perfectly matches the fluorescence excitation peak of porphyrin (400-450nm)—the specific metabolic product of cariogenic bacteria (Streptococcus mutans). When used for caries detection, it excites strong red fluorescence (630-680nm) from carious tissue (early enamel demineralization, hidden caries), with fluorescence contrast ≥90% against healthy dental hard tissue (enamel/dentin), enabling precise identification of early caries (no visible cavity) and hidden caries (between teeth/under fillings) that are hard to detect by traditional dental mirrors/X-rays.
For caries treatment, 450nm blue light has selective photothermal absorption for demineralized carious tissue: the water and organic matter in carious dentin/enamel absorb 450nm blue light to generate localized mild heat (45-55°C), achieving minimally invasive removal of necrotic carious tissue without damaging the adjacent healthy hard tissue and dental pulp—avoiding the mechanical vibration and noise of traditional dental drills, and reducing patient dental anxiety.

Low power (0.2-0.5W): For caries fluorescence detection—low-intensity blue light excites carious tissue fluorescence without photothermal damage to dental pulp, suitable for intraoral scanning detection of all teeth (including children’s deciduous teeth);
Medium-high power (0.8-1.6W): For minimally invasive photothermal caries treatment—precise photothermal removal of carious dentin/enamel, and can be used for light curing of dental resin fillings after treatment.
Equipped with 105μm dental medical-grade UV-resistant low-OH multimode silica fiber (NA=0.22)—the ultra-fine fiber core perfectly matches the dental minimally invasive therapy probe/handpiece, enabling intraoral narrow space operation (between teeth, under gingiva, posterior teeth occlusal surface) with a small light spot , avoiding damage to adjacent healthy tissue and dental pulp during treatment.
